Os dois novos portáteis de jogos da Acer, o Predator 15 e o nosso modelo de teste Predator 17, são muito similares em muitos aspectos, portanto, nosso veredicto também é similar. Além do design, em particular, você notará o tamanho e o peso do aparelho de 17-polegadas. Os rivais oferecem o mesmo tipo de desempenho com carcaças mais leves e mais compactas. Isto é causado parcialmente pelo resfriamento, mas não conseguiu nos convencer completamente. Ele sim mantém os componentes frios, mas pode ser muito barulhento. É um dos portáteis mais barulhentos entre nossos aparelhos comparados em cenários de uso médio. A ventoinha FrostCore adicional soa bem no papel, mas não ajuda nada os componentes, na prática. Ela esfria o lado esquerdo do pousa palmas.
Outras desvantagens são a limitada utilização do Turbo, bem como o afogamento da GPU sob uso intenso, os medíocres alto falantes e o "bleeding" da retro iluminação. A capacidade de manutenção também é limitada. Se a Acer puder consertar esses problemas para a seguinte iteração, deveríamos obter um aparelho muito bom, porque inclusive as primeiras tentativas são ótimas em algumas categorias. Isto inclui o chassi sólido, a tela brilhante e de alto contraste, as muito boas durações da bateria, o moderno equipamento de portas e as úteis ferramentas.
A Acer apresenta uma primeira tentativa bem-sucedida para um portátil de jogos, embora ainda precise um afinamento em algumas áreas.
