A Acer faz uma estreia de gama alta relativamente bem-sucedida no sector do portáteis para jogos. Quando desconsideramos o design chamativo e as suscetíveis superfícies de toque suave, a carcaça definitivamente tem lados bons. Além da rigidez, os dispositivos de entrada e as interfaces são atraentes. Nem todos os fabricantes usam uma porta USB 3.1. Por outro lado, o propósito maior do FrostCore pode ser questionado. Os pousa pulsos de alguns portáteis para jogos permanecem frios até mesmo sem uma ventoinha extra.

A tela IPS ganha muitos mais elogios. Comparado com uma tela TN, não apenas os ângulos de visão, mas também as cores, são superiores. Outro argumento para a compra é a exuberante duração da bateria. Quase 7,5 horas de reprodução de vídeo com brilho médio, faz com que a maioria dos portáteis de gama premium pareçam pequenos. As convenientes ferramentas PredatorSense e Care Center também não devem ser esquecidas.

Em total, o aparelho de 15-polegadas não entra no Top 10. Diríamos que o alto peso (3,6 quilogramas) e as pobres opções de manutenção, são os motivos principais. A Acer também poderia melhorar o som, a capacidade da memória de vídeo e o comportamento do Turbo da CPU. No entanto, o visual foi o que mais nos decepcionou. Uma aparência menos chamativa melhoraria a imagem de forma considerável. O atual visual do portátil faz com que pareça mais um alien que um predador.
