Em nossa análise original do Core i5 EliteBook x360 1030 G3, dissemos que era o melhor conversível empresarial de 13 polegadas com mais recursos e uma tela mais brilhante do que o seu típico Ultrabook carro chefe. Isso ainda é verdade para a configuração Core i7, mas com uma desvantagem importante: ela não é muito mais rápida do que a opção menos cara, Core i5-8250U. De fato, nossos resultados mostram que a CPU i7 é consistentemente mais lenta que a CPU i5 devido ao afogamento mais acentuado no Core i7. Em contraste, o Core i7 Yoga C930 é mais rápido que o Core i5 Yoga C930 especialmente quando estamos sujeitos a um alto estresse de processamento, ficamos decepcionados ao ver o oposto em um dos melhores subportáteis da HP.
O EliteBook x360 1030 G3 ainda é altamente recomendável, pois suas qualidades superam em muito seus poucos pontos negativos. Com isso dito, sugerimos ignorar o SKU Core i7-8650U e usar os fundos extras para opções mais utilitárias, como o Sure View, a luz de fundo "Outdoor Mode" de 700 nits, 4G LTE e até mesmo um Dock Thunderbolt G2 ou monitor externos.
O SKU Core i7 é pelo menos $200 ou $ 300 a mais que o SKU Core i5 e seus benefícios de desempenho - ou a falta dele - não justificam o preço premium. O SKU Core i5 continua a ser o melhor que o EliteBook x360 1030 G3 tem a oferecer.
