Case & Hardware - VivoBook sem Thunderbolt

A caixa preta fosca com suas superfícies lisas é feita de metal (tampa traseira) e plástico (unidade base). O dispositivo não apresenta nenhuma falha de fabricação. A unidade base e a tampa se torcem um pouco demais sob torção. O interior pode ser acessado após a remoção do invólucro inferior. A bateria não é colada, mas sim mantida no lugar por parafusos

O computador tem três portas USB-A (2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1) e uma porta USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1). Esta última não suporta Power Delivery nem DisplayPort via USB-C. Isto significa que somente uma saída de vídeo está disponível com a porta HDMI. O leitor de cartão de memória microSD (cartão de referência: 128 GB AV PRO V60) é um dos mais lentos de seu tipo

As taxas de transferência WLAN determinadas sob condições ideais (nenhum outro dispositivo WLAN na vizinhança imediata, distância curta entre o notebook e o PC servidor) eram aceitáveis, mas ficaram aquém das capacidades do chip WiFi embutido (MediaTek MT7921; 802.11 eixos).

Dispositivos de entrada - O M513 não possui um teclado retroiluminado

As teclas do teclado chiclet não iluminado oferecem um curto curso para baixo e um ponto de pressão claro. A resistência das teclas poderia ser mais firme. O teclado balançou levemente enquanto digitava, o que não se mostrou excessivamente irritante. No geral, o Asus fornece um teclado adequado para o uso diário.

A superfície lisa do teclado multi-toque (aprox. 10,5 x 7,3 cm) permite que os dedos deslizem facilmente e respondam até mesmo às entradas nos cantos. O teclado tem um curso curto e um ponto de pressão claro.

Visor - Excelente nível de preto graças ao OLED

Processador

A parte CPU do Ryzen 7 5700U APU (Lucienne) consiste em um processador de oito núcleos que opera com um relógio de base de 1,8 GHz. Usando o Turbo, é possível um aumento de até 4,35 GHz. É suportado multithreading simultâneo (dois fios por núcleo).

O teste multi-tarefa do benchmark Cinebench R15 funciona brevemente a 3,4 GHz antes de cair para 2,9 - 3 GHz. O teste de rosca única é executado em 1,4 a 4,35 GHz. No modo de bateria, a CPU funciona a 1,85 GHz (multi-tarefa) ou 1,4 - 1,85 GHz (mono-fios).

O Vega 8 iGPU incorporado é um dos mais poderosos iGPUs e pode rodar muitos jogos suavemente em baixas resoluções ou configurações. A operação contínua à velocidade máxima do relógio (1.900 MHz) é possível - como mostrado no Witcher 3 teste. Entretanto, isto só se aplica quando o perfil "Performance" é ativado. O perfil "Balanceado" leva a uma leve queda no relógio da GPU para 1.700-1.800 MHz após alguns minutos. Os resultados do benchmark correspondem bastante aos níveis médios de desempenho de um Vega 8 iGPU determinados até o momento.

Ruído

O notebook não produz ruído excessivo em toda a faixa de carga. No uso diário (escritório, internet), o ventilador é freqüentemente inativo e reina o silêncio. O nível de ruído sob carga sobe para 41,9 dB(A) - um valor perfeitamente aceitável. Um aspecto positivo: Leva um tempo relativamente longo para o ventilador arrancar. Nenhum ruído de fundo incômodo é emitido. O ruído gerado sob carga pode ser reduzido através do perfil "Silencioso" - às custas da potência computacional.

No uso diário (escritório, internet), as temperaturas caem dentro da faixa verde. Durante o teste de estresse, a temperatura aumenta em algumas áreas, mas apenas moderadamente, em média.

Aplicações de escritório e internet, bem como jogos simples não representam grandes desafios para o VivoBook - isto é garantido pela combinação integrada de Ryzen 7 5700U APU e 16 GB de RAM. As emissões de calor e ruído são aceitáveis.

As telas OLED não são encontradas com freqüência no segmento de notebooks sub-1000 Euro. O Asus está expandindo esta gama com o VivoBook 15.

A tela OLED embutida (FHD) oferece um excelente nível de preto e cobre completamente o espaço de cores DCI-P3. Ela também oferece ângulos de visão estáveis, boa reprodução de cores, tempos de resposta curtos e brilho suficientemente alto. Entretanto, a tela brilhante é um ponto de crítica.

Apesar de um preço de compra de cerca de 900 Euros, o laptop tem pontos fracos que não devem estar presentes neste nível: falta de iluminação do teclado, um leitor de cartão de memória lento, nenhuma estrutura de montagem/ porta SATA para a instalação de um dispositivo de memória de 2,5 polegadas, nenhuma porta USB-C rápida (USB 3.2 Gen 2 ou Thunderbolt 4) com Power Delivery e DisplayPort. Os tempos de funcionamento da bateria só podem ser descritos como média com um tempo de funcionamento WLAN de cerca de 6,5 h

Mais barato sem OLED

Como alternativa, há o Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15ALC05o VivoBook é semelhante ao VivoBook em termos de especificações e preço, mas oferece valores de tempo de execução significativamente melhores graças a uma bateria de 70-Wh. Ele também vem com um teclado retroiluminado e Power Delivery. Os pontos fracos do IdeaPad são a RAM soldada e a exibição média.

Uma alternativa mais barata é o Acer Aspire 5 A515-45-R4R1 (cerca de 600 euros). Isto também vem com um APU Ryzen 7 5700U e também pode superar o VivoBook em termos de duração da bateria. O baixo nível de preço é devido ao fato de que a RAM só funciona em modo monocanal e que nenhum sistema operacional Windows está incluído.

Preço e Disponibilidade

O Asus VivoBook 15 OLED M513UA parece não estar disponível na configuração atual (Ryzen 7 5700U, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, tela OLED) fora da Europa, após a publicação desta análise. Uma configuração muito semelhante pode ser comprada na Amazon UK (Ryzen 5 5500U, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, tela OLED) por £499,99.
