EN→PT Archive.org versionYet, just as the iPad’s Retina display eclipsed the previous generation, the Infinity delivers a tantalising taste of Android’s potential. Its glorious display, solid battery life and fast internals make for a slick, premium tablet experience. It’s never going to rival the Nexus 7 in the value stakes, but for those seeking the ultimate do-it-all Android tablet, at any price, the Transformer Infinity is the new benchmark.

EN→PT Archive.org versionEach tablet wins the same number of categories, so choosing which to buy really depends on what you're looking to use it for. While it's worth pointing out that the £600 Infinity and £559 iPad are much closer in price for their respective 64GB versions, Apple gives the option to buy a cheaper model with less storage so we took that into account for our head to head.

EN→PT Archive.org versionCompared head-to-head with the Prime we have to say we think the Infinity is worth the extra £100. The tablet comes with a host of upgrades including a slightly faster processor, crisper screen, improved front and rear facing cameras and double the amount of storage.

EN→PT Archive.org versionThe Asus Transformer range continues to expand and evolve apace and with the Infinity you get a superb 1080p screen, 64GB of storage and an even more powerful incarnation of Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chipset. In use it is an altogether superb device but at £200 more than the basic Transformer Pad, the premium for the HD screen is a high one. If it was my money, I’d probably be more inclined to buy a Transformer Pad and a 8GB Nexus 7, and a lot of beer with the change.

EN→PT Archive.org versionIf you're after a tablet that offers laptop-like functionality with the power, portability and specs to make it both work and multimedia friendly, this is the tablet to have in your sights. Asus Transformer Prime owners may want to hold tight for the next instalment, because new screen aside, all the boxes are already ticked.

EN→PT Archive.org versionOverall, we're really impressed with the Infinity, with it being by far the best Android tablet currently on market. Offering a crisp beautiful display, dock complete with Qwerty keyboard, masses of storage and insanely fast performance. The only real problems we have with the Infinity are the absence of Jelly Bean and its price.

EN→PT Archive.org versionYet, just as the iPad’s Retina display eclipsed the previous generation, the Infinity delivers a tantalising taste of Android’s potential. Where budget Android tablets often cheapen Google’s OS, the Infinity is at the other end of the scale, its glorious display and fast internals making for a slick, premium tablet experience. It’s never going to rival the Nexus 7 in the value stakes, but for those seeking the ultimate do-it-all Android tablet, at any price, the Infinity is the new benchmark.

EN→PT Archive.org versionThe Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 takes over from its predecessor as the top Android tablet available. You get high performance mixed with high style, and you don't have to make a lot of sacrifices to get both. Other tablets - including the Prime, which is expected to drop in price once this model gets into the market - may provide better value, but no other Android tablet will give you the full package that the Infinity does.

EN→PT Archive.org versionThe new high-resolution display of the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is incredibly sharp and bright, but the whole effect is less breathtaking than it is on Apple's Retina display. This has nothing to do with the hardware, however. There just aren't enough apps that look good on Android tablets, let alone high-resolution tablets. Reading ebooks and browsing the web was a pleasure, as text was almost as sharp as on the new iPad. Images and videos with high enough resolutions looked remarkably clear on the TF700.

EN→PT Archive.org versionThe device is a killer for gaming, we can just tell by looking at the graphic performance, TegraZone games and game-controller capabilities. The new Full HD display is a pleasure to look at whether you browse the internet, read books, flick through your photos, or watch a movie.
