Nossa análise revela o desempenho do Fire Max 11.
Origem: Expert Reviews EN→PT
On the surface, the Fire Max 11 has plenty going for it: the design is stylish, performance and battery life are terrific and the display is crisp and colourful. Better still, the optional keyboard and stylus are competent enough to – in theory – make the Fire Max 11 a solid laptop replacement. All of these improvements, however, just serve to shine a harsher light on the limitations of Fire OS 8. Cheaper Fire tablets excuse the OS’s shortcomings by virtue of their low price, but the Fire Max 11 is encircled by a variety of much more capable rivals.

In the end, Amazon made a respectable tablet in the Fire Max 11. For $230, you get a big, high-resolution display, respectable performance, and well-rounded features. You don’t get Google Play or access to the traditional Android experience, which may be a major turn-off to some. Thankfully, great Android tablets like the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus cost around the same price. You could also splurge and get a 9th Generation iPad for about $100 more. However, if you’ve already bought into the Amazon ecosystem, which includes a lot of free content, the Max 11 brings some heat.

The Amazon Fire Max 11 isn’t quite the productivity-focused tablet that Amazon wanted it to be, even with pretty decent keyboard and stylus accessories, but that’s not down to hardware. The 2K 11-inch display remains one of the main reasons to opt for the tablet over the competition in late 2024, with pin-sharp detail and great viewing angles. It’s not even down to a lack of processing power, with the unnamed octa-core processor easily beating other cheap Android tablets in CPU and GPU tests. No, it’s down to the software offering. While the Android 11-based Fire UI is easy enough to use with most UK streaming apps available at the tap of a button, it lacks key productivity apps that’d make it ideal for work.

With the Fire Max 11, Amazon definitely saw a bit of the iPad and two-in-one productivity market and wondered if it could get in on the act without sacrificing the attractive multimedia capability that makes its other keyboard-less Fire models so attractive (and likely earns it so much money). If this was the briefing, Amazon has succeeded. The Fire Max 11 is just powerful enough to cope with light work tasks, the keyboard is excellent, it’s suitably compact and portable, the design is subtle, and the price for the whole kit is very reasonable indeed. The screen is excellent and makes the tablet really enjoyable to watch videos on, and I’d definitely recommend the rear cover with its kickstand if you do plan to use it for video.

There's no denying that - for a relatively modest outlay - there's a lot on offer from Amazon with the Fire Max 11. You get easy access to lots of great content, plus the flexibility to get some work done, do some doodling, and an Echo Show of sorts, all in a device that costs a heck of a lot less than an iPad. Plus, it's a lot nicer looking and feeling than any previous Fire tablet. Yes, there's a pretty huge caveat in that the tablet is locked into Amazon's ecosystem, which doesn't boast the same level of interface fluidity or versatility as an Android tablet or iPad. It's also a little lacking in terms of apps and games. But for some who just need the basics and are Prime subscribers, it's a great device.

OK, here’s the sitch: If you’re looking for a large tablet for entertainment or browsing, and you don’t want to totally break the bank, the Max 11 (starting at $229.99) is an excellent choice. The 11-inch Galaxy Tab S8 retails for $700, and you’ll be shelling out $800 for the 11-inch Apple iPad Pro. Even though the Fire Max 11 is Amazon's newest tablet, it's already on sale for $149.99 (35% off) thanks to Prime Day, which runs July 11 and 12. Likewise, it may be a great substitute for a work laptop if your work is all or mostly done within the Microsoft ecosystem — Word, Office, Teams, etc. In this case, you’ll want to go for the Productivity Bundle. However, if you work on Google raises hand, or you won’t have access to many of the apps you want in Amazon’s very limited Appstore, you may want to spring for a non-Amazon tablet.

The Amazon Fire Max 11 attempts to position itself as a high-end tablet, but it ultimately fails to deliver the value and versatility expected at its price range. I appreciate the effort and slight pivot for Amazon, but perhaps they’d be better off introducing a new product line and letting the Fire series stay with what made it so appealing. While it excels in consuming Amazon content, the tablet’s limited software and lack of essential apps hinder its usability for other tasks. Unless you are solely focused on accessing Amazon’s ecosystem, there are better tablet options available that offer superior performance and a more robust software experience.

I find the Fire tablet lineup — and particularly this model — so difficult to review, in part because throwing the Play Store on any of these slates makes the device ten times as capable. But from my perspective, if you're unwilling to jump through the (relatively minor) hurdles of getting Google Play Services up and running on the Fire Max 11, or you find the overall Fire OS experience frustrating to a fault, you should take your $230 and look through the ever-growing lineup of cheap budget slates, as you're bound to find one that suits you. If you're willing to tinker, there is some merit to this device. It's by far the most powerful tablet Amazon has ever made. That's a low bar to clear, but it does mean that everything — including running those Google apps you aren't supposed to have — feels pretty snappy compared to previous models.

I could sit here and gripe about the Lockscreen Ads, but I really feel as though this is the best "premium" tablet you can get for under $300. Frankly, it feels like the Fire Max 11 should cost much more than $230 for the base configuration, but even if you ditch the ads, it's still only $245. As I noted before, I also think Amazon missed an opportunity by not including a dock for the Fire Max 11 in an effort to take on the Pixel Tablet directly. Both of these tablets can be used as smart displays, but I'm still surprised to see Amazon drift toward productivity while Google goes in the opposite direction. All of that being said, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Fire Max 11, something that I didn't expect to be able to say going into this review. There are definitely some shortcomings, but it's tough to really knock off points when you consider the price. If you want a premium tablet experience and are okay with Amazon's interface, then you'll definitely enjoy Amazon's best tablet ever.

The Fire Max 11 is the best tablet Amazon's ever produced, in my opinion, replacing the Fire Max HD 10 Plus as the new top-tier Fire tablet. It delivers all the strengths of the company's slates in a sleek tablet that manages to be light and affordable without feeling cheap. The screen makes videos and games look great, and the optional accessories can help you transform the Fire Max 11 into a serviceable productivity device, in a pinch. But Amazon appears to be positioning the Fire Max 11 as a competitor to premium tablets like Apple's iPad or the Google Pixel Tablet, and in that sense I don't think it succeeds. While the Fire Max 11 is cheaper and brighter than either, and lasts longer on a full charge, its weak processor and limited OS handicap its potential.

It's easy to dismiss a more affordable tablet as a novelty or kids' device – but you would be wrong to do so with the Amazon Fire Max 11. This is an impressive large-screen slate all considered. Yes, Fire OS may not be everyone's cup of tea (given the lack of standard Android apps), but this is still a very well-rounded package that punches above its weight in performance. With a lengthy battery, Dolby Atmos audio and a bigger screen than its predecessor, streaming is particularly well-suited to this device. Accessories are solid and reasonably priced, while both cameras are now up to scratch as well. If you can live without a few name-brand Android apps then this tablet could be your new diary, browser and babysitter all in one.

Amazon Fire Max 11 is impressive for its wide screen, updated cameras, and faster processor, but there are still certain gaps that could be filled. Overall, is the device affordable? Yes. Is it good performance-wise? Yes, somewhat. Can you use it for your productive workstation? Well, it depends on your requirements. The accessories definitely make it efficient and convenient for use, but if you are dependent on Google applications, maybe not so much.

Reviewing Amazon's Fire Max 11 Tablet, a FireOS family device for a budget of £249 here in the UK (not including the keyboard and stylus). This unboxing and full tour runs through the highlights and drawbacks of the Amazon Fire Max 11 Tablet, to see if it's one of the best affordable options in 2023. Despite its mighty 11-inch screen, this tab boasts a skinny and light design that's good for taking wherever you roam. If you pay the extra price for the keyboard dock, you can prop up the Amazon Fire Max 11 and use it as a makeshift laptop or smart display. It's certainly a lot more budget friendly than the Pixel Tablet that's coming to the UK soon. That display is sharp and poppy, if not quite as bright as I'd hoped.

Amazon's vast tablet lineup is known for being "good enough" while enticing customers with prices that simply can't be beaten. This trend continues with the Fire Max 11, but this time around, it actually delivers on performance and impresses pretty much everywhere else.

If you want to do anything else, you’ll find yourself fighting Fire OS to get it done. There are no Google apps and no Play Store, only the limited offerings of Amazon’s App Store. I did try to install the Play Store using my own instructions, but so far I have not been able to get it working. I will update that guide as soon as I figure it out, but Lenovo’s Tab P11 Pro is still a better investment for roughly the same price.

In terms of hardware, there’s a lot to like about the Fire Max 11. And if you’re after a tablet with a keyboard or stylus but are on a budget, it should be a tempting option. The caveat is that you need to make sure that any apps you absolutely must have are available on the Fire Max 11. For those who are comfortable side-loading apps, the Fire Max 11 might make even more sense but, as mentioned, this isn’t a magic bullet that allows you to run all Google apps. Anyone after a simple life may be better off with an Android tablet like the Lenovo Tab P11, but on the flip side, the Fire Max 11 is great for anyone who predominantly uses Amazon services such as Prime Video, Kindle, Audible, Alexa, Amazon Music and others, but also cares about having a good-quality tablet with a large screen.

All things said and done, the Fire Max 11 is easily the best Fire Tablet Amazon has made yet. If the rest of the lineup takes the same approach, Amazon's tablet lineup is going to be compelling to everyone. The Fire Max 11 productivity bundle provides everything you need to get some work done on the small and affordable tablet, as long as your work can be done in Microsoft's suite of apps and services, or in sites that work properly with Amazon's Silk Browser.

You can buy the Amazon Fire Max 11 for around $230. That'll get you 64GB of internal storage, and since there's a microSD card slot on the side, you can expand that storage by up to an additional 1TB (microSD card sold separately). The official Amazon Fire Max 11 Keyboard Case is $90 – and is well worth the upgrade. You could also just go ahead and buy the two together in a Keyboard Bundle for $320. That feels like an absolute bargain, when you consider Apple's 2022 iPad (10th Generation) starts at $449, and just the Smart Keyboard Folio for that tablet actually costs more than the Fire Max 11 itself. The caveat to that value is that you need to make sure Fire OS can run all the apps you want — and remember, this is an Amazon tablet made for people who use Amazon, and don't mind it when Amazon tries to upsell them on subscriptions to services like Prime.
