O AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D é um processador de desktop de ponta da série Raphael com 16 núcleos e SMT (Simultaneous Multithreading), o que significa que ele pode processar até 32 threads simultaneamente. Com lançamento em fevereiro de 2023, o Ryzen 9 7950X3D é o processador mais rápido da AMD para o consumidor e o novo modelo top da série 7000. Os núcleos da CPU têm clock de 4,2 GHz (clock base) até 5,7 GHz (Turbo de núcleo único). Além disso, o AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D tem um CCD com 8 núcleos que podem acessar o rápido V-cache 3D, o que oferece um desempenho consideravelmente maior em jogos.

O desempenho do AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D é consistentemente excelente em todos os aplicativos testados. Além disso, a AMD conseguiu novamente aumentar o desempenho de thread único em comparação com os modelos não X3D. No entanto, o clock base mais baixo em comparação com o AMD Ryzen 9 7950X significa que é preciso aceitar uma pequena queda no desempenho multi-thread.

A estrutura interna do processador é comparável à do AMD Ryzen 9 7950X anterior. O AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D também ainda se baseia no design chiplet, que consiste em dois clusters CCD com 8 núcleos cada. No entanto, os dois CCDs diferem significativamente um do outro porque um oferece o rápido 3D V-Cache, que melhora principalmente o desempenho em jogos. Nos testes, o AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D foi capaz de colocar o Intel Core i9-13900K em segundo lugar e é a CPU para jogos mais rápida do mercado no momento do teste.

O AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D é uma CPU extremamente eficiente em termos de energia com até 162 watts (PPT) e é significativamente mais econômico sob carga do que um AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (máx. 230 watts).
