AMD A10-5800K
A AMD A10-5800K é uma APU de desktop baseada na arquitetura Trinity. O chip é produzido em um processo de 32nm e integra dois módulos com 4 núcleos de CPU com frequência de 3,8 a 4,2 GHz. Além disso, o 5800K tem uma unidade gráfica Radeon HD 7660D e um controlador de memória DDR3-1866. Devido ao multiplicador desbloqueado, o processador pode fazer overclock facilmente. Os núcleos do CPU se baseiam em uma arquitetura Bulldozer reformulada, chamada Piledriver. Embora seja comercializado como um processador quad-core, o A10-5800K inclui apenas dois módulos com quatro núcleos inteiros e duas unidades de ponto flutuante, no total. Como resultado, o CPU não é um verdadeiro processador quad-core. Dependendo do benchmark, o desempenho do processador A10-5800K é mais ou menos semelhante ao do Core i3-3220 de desktop. O chip demonstra um bom desempenho em aplicativos com alta paralelização, enquanto que o desempenho por thread é menos impressionante. Para as tarefas diárias, como o Office, aplicativos multimídia ou navegando na Internet, o 5800K é adequado sem restrições, inclusive é possível jogar jogos 3D se emparelhado com uma placa de vídeo dedicada. A Radeon HD 7660D integrada compatível com DirectX 11 oferece todos os 384 núcleos shader do chip Trinity e uma frequência de 800 MHz sem suporte para Turbo. Em média, o desempenho da GPU HD 7660D é comparável com o de uma GPU de portátil Radeon HD 7670M dedicada e é evidentemente mais veloz que a HD Graphics 4000 encontrada na plataforma Ivy Bridge da Intel. O consumo de energia de toda a APU de desktop é de 100 watts.
