NVIDIA T550 Laptop GPU
A GPU para portáteis Nvidia T550 (anteriormente conhecida como Quadro T550 Mobile) para portáteis é uma placa gráfica móvel profissional que se baseia na arquitectura Turing (chip TU117). Baseia-se na GeForce MX550 de consumo e possui os mesmos 1024 núcleos e um bus de memória de 64 bits. A placa oferece 4 GB GDDR6 com uma largura de banda máxima de 112 GB/s e sem saídas de visualização dedicadas (saídas de visualização iGPU utilizadas via Optimus). O chip é fabricado em FinFET de 12nm na TSMC.
As GPUs profissionais oferecem controladores certificados, que são optimizados para estabilidade e desempenho em aplicações profissionais (CAD, DCC, médicas, prospecção, e aplicações de visualização). O desempenho nestas áreas é, portanto, muito melhor em comparação com as GPUs de consumo correspondentes.
A geração Turing não só introduziu o raytracing para as placas RTX, como também optimizou a arquitectura dos núcleos e das caches. De acordo com Nvidia, os núcleos CUDA oferecem agora uma execução simultânea de operações de ponto flutuante e inteiro para um maior desempenho em cargas de trabalho de computação pesadas dos jogos modernos. Além disso, as caches foram retrabalhadas (nova arquitectura de memória unificada com o dobro da cache em comparação com Pascal). Isto leva a até 50% mais instruções por relógio e a uma utilização 40% mais eficiente da energia em comparação com Pascal. Ao contrário dos cartões Quadro RTX mais rápidos, o T550 não apresenta o raytracing e os núcleos de Tensor.
