Dell S2721Q and S2721QS

The Dell S2721Q and S2721QS are 4K UHD displays with support for HDR playback. These monitors sport a modern, elegant design with a distinct textured patterning on the back. Both the S2721Q and the S2721QS feature exactly the same specs with the only difference being that the S2721QS's stand offers height, tilt, and pivot adjustment while that of the S2721Q allows for just tilting. These monitors feature IPS panels with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 350 cd/m2 maximum brightness, a 99% sRGB color gamut coverage, and 4 ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time along with dual 3 W speakers built-in. Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, and 1x audio line-out.

Though the refresh rate is standard fare, the Dell S2721Q and S2721QS support AMD FreeSync and also offer a flicker-free viewing experience thanks to Dell ComfortView. Other Dell features include EasyArrange, Picture-by-Picture (PBP), and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) modes. Do note that PBP and PIP are available only when one HDMI and one DisplayPort are connected. Both displays are covered by Dell Premium Panel Exchange that allows for free panel replacement during the Limited Hardware Warranty even if one bright pixel is noticed.

The Dell S2721Q and S2721QS will be available globally from August 20 at prices starting from US$419.99 and US$449.99, respectively.

Dell S2721D and S2721DS

The Dell S2721D and S2721DS are QHD versions of the 27-inch Q-series described above. Both the S2721D and S2721DS sport IPS panels with a refresh rate of 75 Hz and support AMD FreeSync for tear-free visuals. Like the Q-series, the D-series also comes in two variants with the S2721DS's stand offering more adjustment modes. Compared to the Q-series, the D-series has quite a few differences with respect to the resolution, refresh rate, color depth, and the presence of HDMI 1.4 ports instead of HDMI 2.0. Another omission in the S2721D and S2721DS models is the absence of PBP and PIP modes. Dell EasyArrange is available, though.

The Dell S2721D and S2721DS will be available globally from August 20 at prices starting from US$319.99 and US$349.99, respectively.

Dell 32 Curved 4K UHD S3221QS

Finally, we have the Dell 32 Curved S3221QS — a 4K UHD monitor with an 1800R curvature. The S3221QS is a 32-inch display with a 4K UHD 60 Hz VA panel. Being a VA panel, the Dell S3221QS offers an excellent native contrast ratio of 3,000:1, which allows for deep blacks and a wider color range. While the panel has decent specs, its brightness is somewhat on the lower side at 300 cd/m2. This panel covers 99% of sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 color gamuts making it ideal for both video watching and editing. AMD FreeSync is supported, and the monitor offers 2x HDMI 2.0 ports with HDCP 2.2 support, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x USB 3.0 upstream, 1x USB 3.0 downstream, 1x USB 3.0 downstream with Battery Charging (BC) 1.2 support, and a 1x audio line-out. Dual 5 W speakers are built-in that are tuned by Waves MaxxAudio.

The Dell 32 Curved S3221QS offers height and tilt adjustment; there's no pivot adjustment, however. The familiar suite of Dell tools such as EasyArrange, PBP, and PIP are available. Similar to the 27-inch Q-series, the 32-inch S3221QS allows PBP and PIP only when DisplayPort and HDMI are used. These modes are not available when two HDMI sources are used together.

The Dell 32 Curved 4K UHD S3221QS monitor will be available from August 20 at a starting price of US$499.99.
